Board Member
John is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He served over 32 years of active federal service in the U.S. Army, culminating as a Brigade CSM for two Brigades and as the PSYOP Commandant Sergeant Major. John served in peacetime and wartime during all major combat operations.
After retirement in 2015, John began a new career as a civil servant for the Department of the Army at Ft. Bragg, NC. He served in the capacity as Chief of Protocol for 1 st Special Forces Command, XVIII Airborne Corps and United States Army Europe and Africa. Currently John serves as a Department of Air Force civilian as the Director of Protocol for U.S. Central Command at MacDill, AFB Florida.
John’s passions are fitness, family and his commitment to improving the lives of veterans and the men and women of the armed forces. Having personally experienced the benefits and challenges of life as a retiree, John is suited to help navigate through periods of transition and stasis.

Richelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) working in the mental health field for over 20 years. With extensive experience working with diverse and highly vulnerable populations Richelle is passionate about helping individuals identify and reduce stress and recover from trauma. Richelle began her career working with children in foster care and then worked as a counselor and treatment coordinator in the Washington State Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration supporting incarcerated youth and their families. In 2012 Richelle started working in her own private practice primarily serving highly suicidal individuals suffering with difficulties regulating their emotions and maintaining relationships. As a Marine Corps veteran and special operations spouse, Richelle saw a need for the therapeutic methods she used within the community to help serve the active duty and veteran population to combat the high rate of suicide. Richelle founded 'Her Ruck' which specializes in supporting military connected women to reduce their emotional load. Richelle has been creating and running workshops for service members and their families since 2018 supporting primarily the special operations community.

Board Member
Meridith is a 19-year Army Veteran and the Director of Research and Development at the United States Special Operations Command. She is a free-spirited Swiss Army Knife looking for new and innovative ways that ensure our nation's elite warriors are operating at full capacity. She utilizes various Nonstandard Therapies daily for her Physical and Mental Health and has been a yoga teacher for over 15 years. Meridith's favorite Nonstandard Therapy is Meditation.

Clay is an Active Duty member of the SOF community with over ten years of experience and five deployments. Clay is currently an instructor training the next generation of Special Forces Medics. Clay enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter when he is not at work. His favorite Nonstandard Therapy is CrossFit.
